SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — A man is facing multiple charges after allegedly saying the devil was inside him, then stabbing and cutting his roommate on Wednesday, according to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.
Joseph Dolash, 25, is being charged with first-degree attempted premeditated murder and sexual assault, according to the arrest report.
Deputies around 6:10 p.m. arrived to Vista Haven Apartments in Sanford in reference to a stabbing. When they arrived on scene, they found one man, later identified as Dolash, and another man who had a knife wound in his chest, according to the arrest report.
While waiting for paramedics to arrive and deputies attempted to restrain Dolash, he was saying things such as “Satan is in me still,” “Satan come out of this reality” and “Satan is a physical being and he is in me now,” according to the arrest report.
Dolash also told deputies he had previously tried to kill himself.
While securing the scene, several juveniles told deputies that there was blood near an apartment building. Deputies found blood located on the side of a building and sidewalk and stairs leading to an upper unit.
Inside, deputies found blood and a bloody knife.

The victim was treated at a local hospital. He told deputies that Dolash said the devil was inside him and he had “to get the worm out,” according to the arrest report. Dolash then held the knife to his roommate’s throat then cut him multiple times.
The roommate escaped but was quickly caught by Dolash again who began to cut and stab him. After he escaped and was caught again, Dolash stabbed him in the chest and told him to “suck the worm and devil out of his wrist” and made him suck the blood from his cut wrist, deputies said.
Dolash then pulled down his pants and told the man he would kill him if he did not perform oral sex on him.
Dolash was eventually taken into custody by deputies and transported to the hospital for medical attention.
