Seminole County leaders to discuss expanding walking, biking trails

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — The trails in Seminole County have gotten a big boost in visitors over the last year.

Now, officials have plans to expand the network of trails throughout the county.

Nothing is set in stone just yet. The plan would add another 147 miles of pathways for bikers and pedestrians to enjoy.

The goal would be to build new trails to connect all existing trails.

County leaders say the expansion would cost more than $90 million.

The county wants to hear from local residents about the idea.

Leaders are holding a virtual meeting Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
