SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — More than half the eligible population in Seminole County is vaccinated against COVID-19, but there are still pockets of the population that are significantly under that percentage.
In Seminole County, Wekiva Springs’ ZIP code 32779 has the highest number of residents vaccinated at nearly 68%.

Winter Springs is a close second with ZIP code 32708 at 62% vaccinated.
Seminole County Emergency Manager Alan Harris said age may be the key factor, with seniors making up the highest percentage of the population who have been vaccinated.

Sanford’s two ZIP codes have the two lowest vaccination rates in the county. In 32771, 25% of the eligible population is vaccinated and in 32773 that rate is 33%.
Another ZIP code that is significantly lower than the rest of the county, 32766, which covers Oviedo and Chuluota, only about 34% have been vaccinated.
Harris said the county will continue to target those lower vaccinated areas of the county with special events and mobile vaccine PODs to up their percentages.
