SANFORD, Fla. — Sanford police said they were able to track down a suspect who broke into a home early Tuesday morning and performed a sex act on himself while the homeowner slept.
Officers said Elijah Hankerson’s clothes helped them make an arrest.
Investigators arrested Hankerson on Sept. 4, and he was ordered to wear a GPS impact monitor to track his movements.

After noting the similarities, investigators checked his GPS movements the morning of the latest incident which placed him at the scene of the crime, police said.
A Seminole County judge ordered no bond for Hankerson Wednesday afternoon.
Hankerson was out on bail from a previous arrest where police said he was caught on a home security camera performing a sex act outside.

Hankerson was ordered to wear a GPS monitor to track his movements. They looked that up and were able to determine he went into the victim’s home.
Police said the GPS monitor did not go off because the victim lived outside of an “exclusionary zone.”
