OVIEDO, Fla. — Big changes are coming to the Oviedo Mall.
On Monday, the Oviedo City Council approved a plan to reinvent the property as a 175-unit apartment complex for people ages 55 and up, as well as a hotel.
The mall has been losing businesses for years having to compete with nearby places like Waterford Lakes, and the popularity of online shopping.
