LAKE MARY, Fla. — Seminole County investigators said thieves broke into cars late last month and stole guns, including one that belonged to an Apopka police officer.
But officials said that’s not all that was taken.
The break-ins happened at a Winn Dixie shopping plaza, as well as two neighboring office buildings.

The sheriff’s office reported it is not sure if these burglaries are connected to any others in the area, and police are still looking for those involved.
According to an incident report, Apopka police Officer Michael Reagor reported that his unmarked police vehicle had been broken into at the location last Wednesday.

The driver’s side window of his black Dodge Ram was shattered.
Reagor told Seminole County deputies that multiple agency-issued items had been stolen, including a Glock 27 handgun with two spare magazines, an X-2 Taser with two cartridges, his Motorola radio and two ballistic vest carriers.
Another victim told deputies when he returned to his car in the afternoon, he noticed the rear left window of his 2016 Ford F-250 was smashed out.

His 9 mm handgun was gone, along with forty full-metal jacket bullets. His onboard dash camera system was also ripped out.
