Craft group donates 700 hand-knitted hats, scarfs to elementary schoolers

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — A Seminole County knitting group is making sure elementary school students stay warm this winter.

The Lake Mary Center Craft Group spent all year knitting 700 hats and scarfs for students at Wicklow Elementary School.

“We enjoy doing it,” Marie Bradham said. “It’s just gratifying to see the children pick their hats and go.”

Lake Mary Senior Center said this is the seventh year knitting hats and scarves for students. Each year they pick a different school to benefit.
