The family behind the display says they’ve worked hard this year to make sure their lights also incorporate 2020.
“So, we started with the pandemic which is back in the background here,” said Diosdado Irizarry. “The police, the nurse, the doctors, even the collectors of the garbage, because they were essential. We decided to put it in the cave, that cave represents ice we were frozen in 2020.”
Irizarry said he wanted to send a message of hope, and it’s working.

Irizarry’s Christmas display last year was filmed for the ABC reality show “The Great Christmas Light Fight,” where families compete for a trophy and a $50,000 dollar prize.
