SANFORD, Fla. — Former Sanford Mayor Jeff Triplett has passed away, Channel 9 has confirmed.
His brother, Kent Triplett, posted to Facebook stating that Triplett passed away peacefully on Saturday surrounded by family. The post went on to state that Triplett fought a courageous battle with cancer and is now pain free.
The family is asking for privacy during their time of grief.

Funeral arrangements will be private according to Triplett’s wishes.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Jeff’s name.
