Ex-tax collector Joel Greenberg’s sentencing delayed until November

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — Former Seminole County Tax Collector Joel Greenberg will wait a little longer to find out how long he may spend behind bars.

Greenberg, who pleaded guilty to six charges, including child sex trafficking, in federal court in May, was originally scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 19.

But a judge approved a motion on Wednesday to postpone his sentencing 90 days until Nov. 18.

In May, he pleaded guilty to six of the nearly three dozen charges he faced, and he admitted that he had paid at least one underage girl to have sex with him and other men.
