FHP said witnesses described the tractor-trailer driver as driving “too fast,” which caused his vehicle to strike the rear of the dump truck.

The dump truck had a broken axle following the crash and was towed from the scene.

Troopers said Lake Mary Police arrested the dump truck driver on the scene for a warrant unrelated to the crash.
