SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — 2/11/22 UPDATE: An 18-year-old was arrested Thursday after Altamonte Springs police said he trespassed on Lake Brantley High School’s campus causing a brief code red lockdown.
Andrew Lauritsen, 18, is charged with marijuana possession, trespassing on school grounds, drug equipment possession and disturbing the peace/interference with school administration functions.
ORIGINAL STORY: Lake Brantley High School briefly went under code red lockdown Thursday afternoon after school officials said a “unidentified adult” was spotted on campus.
The school tweeted at 1:08 p.m. that it was under lockdown. Less than 10 minutes later at 1:20 p.m., the principal tweeted a statement that the lockdown was lifted.

“Thank you for your patience as we worked toward identifying the threat,” Principal Brian Blasewitz said in a tweet. “We are all clear and the lockdown has been lifted.”
The principal said the adult was spotted by a few students on campus, who reported it to school administration. Blasewitz said the school was placed on lockdown out of an abundance of caution, and within minutes Altamonte Springs police detained the man, searched him and took him into custody.
