Chipotle to open drive-thru concept in Seminole County

Fast casual restaurant Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. wants to roll out its next Chipotlane concept in Casselberry.

The drive-thru Chipotle lane is expected to open in early 2022 at 1391 State Road 436, said David Morse, owner of Winter Park-based developer Morse Properties Real Estate & Development Co.

Morse’s related B&D Casselberry LLC bought the roughly 2.4-acre lot for $1.2 million on Nov. 12, according to Seminole County records.

Wells Fargo Bank N.A. was the seller. The property features a 6,652-square-foot building.

A groundbreaking is expected to occur around third-quarter 2021. A Newport Beach, California-based Chipotle (NYSE: CMG) representative wasn’t available for comment.

The Chipotle would be roughly 2,400 square feet.
