CASSELBERRY, Fla. — The city of Casselberry broke ground on a new police headquarters this week for the first phase of the city’s new public safety complex.

City officials celebrated the new 26,000-square-foot facility on Wilshire Boulevard, just off State Road 436.

Casselberry Police Department Chief Larry Krantz said the new building will strengthen community relations.

“This building is really going to be a marvel for this community,” Krantz said. “We’re gonna be centrally located here within our community. It’s going to be a place for our community to meet with us and build lasting relationships.”

Construction on the new facility is expected to take a year.
