OVIEDO, Fla. — As we near the holiday season, a local organization is supporting families in need.

Basket Brigade volunteers gathered at the Oviedo Volleyball Academy on Saturday morning to help distribute boxes.

9 Family Connection is a partner with Basket Brigade Florida, which has helped families for 25 years.

The organization hopes that one act of generosity can transform the lives of countless people.

The goal was to deliver 1,000 boxes to Orange County and Seminole County families.
