2 dead following head-on crash in Seminole County, troopers say

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly head-on collision in Seminole County.

According to troopers, the crash happened Saturday night at 11 p.m.

The crash occurred on State Road 36 and Prevatt Road.

Troopers said a 2006 Ford pickup was traveling eastbound on SR-46 and a 2016 Chevy pickup was traveling westbound on SR-46.

According to troopers, the two vehicles crashed head-on into each other, causing the Ford pickup to catch fire.

It is unclear as to which driver caused the crash, troopers said.

The driver of the Chevy was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Ford later died at the hospital.

This crash remains under investigation.
