18 people asked to self-quarantine after someone with COVID-19 shows up to Seminole County school

LAKE MARY, Fla. — Eighteen people were asked to self-quarantine after someone infected with COVID-19 visited Lake Mary Elementary School, Seminole County Public Schools said Wednesday.

“In all, 18 individuals were requested to self-quarantine and not return to the campus at this time,” a school district spokesman said. “All parties impacted have already been notified per our safety protocols.”

The people have been switched to Seminole Connect, the district’s remote-learning platform while quarantining.

Officials would not specify if those involved are teachers or students.
