Seminole County deputy pulled from vehicle fire following crash, troopers say

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fiery crash involving a deputy in Seminole County.

Troopers responded to the crash scene at S. Orange Ave and Wayside Drive in Sanford.

According to a witness, the patrol car drove off the roadway and crashed into a bridge abutment.

The crash caused the vehicle to catch fire.

The deputy was removed from the vehicle and was transported to the hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

Troopers have not released any other details at this time.

The road is currently shut down in all directions.

Troopers suggest finding an alternative route.
