Tall buildings and colorful themed settings are starting to emerge at the construction site of Universal Orlando’s new Epic Universe theme park, which will open in 2025.

Hundreds of construction-related permits — such as building, electrical, fire and mechanical permits — have been filed in the five-year period from 2019 through May 17, 2023, by Universal related to the $1 billion Epic Universe project.
That project is projected to create hundreds of temporary construction jobs alongside 14,000 new tourism jobs when it opens.
