See how your favorite restaurants and more fared on health inspections

The number of restaurant health violations in the area has been declining, despite ongoing labor shortages and people’s growing appetite for eating out.

According to data released by Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation, 2022 saw 501 violations in Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia counties, a large dropoff from pre-pandemic levels – which peaked at 705 in 2019.

For the first two quarters of 2023, 265 violations were issued. If the trend follows for the next two quarters, 2023 will see fewer violations than in 2019 and a similar response to 2022.
