The ship will help Carnival celebrate its 50th birthday.

“From a design perspective, we are incorporating elements from our former ships, paying homage to the history of Carnival, and also showcasing Carnival Celebration as a modern, innovative and forward-looking vessel,” said Ben Clement, senior vice president of new builds, refurbishment and product innovation. “While similar to Mardi Gras with a plethora of options for dining, entertainment and relaxation, Celebration will have her own personality, one that celebrates all things Carnival, intertwining where we have been with where we are going.”

The company revealed details of four of its six zones, including Celebration Central.

Celebration Central is where guests’ vacations start, the company said. The area spans decks six, seven and eight.

Celebration Central will include food and beverage options, such as JavaBlue Café, Bonsai Sushi and Bonsai Teppanyaki. It will also offer entertainment options.

The ship will feature an area called “The Ultimate Playground,” where the second roller coaster at sea will be located.

BOLT, an all-electric roller coaster, will allow guests to race along an 800-foot-long track that is 187 feet above the sea, achieving speeds of up to 40 mph.

The “Lido” will feature more food options for guests. Guests can find Shaquille O’Neal’s Big Chicken restaurant, Guy’s Burger Joint, Seafood Shack, and BlueIguana Cantina on the decks 16 and 17.
