SeaWorld releases details for new and returning houses, entertainment for Howl-O-Scream

ORLANDO, Fla. — SeaWorld Orlando is ready to get spooky this fall.

The park has officially released details on this year’s Howl-O-Scream lineup, which includes new houses, immersive new scare zones and “more screams than any other park.”

This year, there will be five haunted houses, seven scare zones and more, SeaWorld announced.

Of the haunted houses, five are brand-new: D3LER1UM666 Laboratories, Dead Vines: Nawlins Nightmare and Beneath the Ice: The Meltdown. Those new houses will be joined by returning fan favorites Captain’s Revenge: Drowned in Darkness and Blood Beckoning, according to SeaWorld.

Of the seven scare zones, four are new: Blood Light District, Toxic Turmoil, CarnEvil Pier and Portal of Passage, joined by returning scare zones Frozen Terror – Alive in the Ice, Witchcraft Bayou and Terrors of the Deep.

There will be three terrifying shows throughout the park this year, including the brand-new Cursed Lagoon as well as Siren’s Song and the fan-favorite Monster Stomp.

There will be five themed bar experiences as well, including the all-new CarnEvil Curiosities.

Guests will also want to keep an eye out for roaming scares from Sirens and Siren Minions, and may want to keep an eye out on the trees and plants for camouflage scares, SeaWorld said.

Some roller coasters including the all-new Pipeline, Ice Breaker, Mako and Manta will also be opened to enjoy after dark during the event, SeaWorld said.

Howl-O-Scream runs Sept. 8-Oct. 31. Tickets are on sale for 40% off until Aug. 20. Annual passholders can get tickets for as low as $32.99.
