Search underway for missing 14-year-old in Lake County

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a 14-year-old teenager last seen on Saturday afternoon.

Deputies said they are looking for the whereabouts of 14-year-old Blayne Caruso.

Caruso was last seen at 3 p.m. on Saturday in the area of St. Thomas Avenue in Umatilla.

Deputies said Caruso had recently told a sibling that he was planning to run away.

However, deputies said Caruso had never run away before and are attempting to locate him due to cold overnight temperatures.

The sheriff’s helicopter and drones have flown in the area, and deputies said they are searching on foot and using bloodhounds.

According to the social media post, it is unknown if he is on foot, in a home, or in a car.

Caruso was last seen wearing an orange long-sleeved shirt and tan shorts and carrying a purple tablet.

Caruso is 5 feet and 4 inches tall and weighs around 120 pounds.

Caruso has blue eyes and blonde hair.

Anyone with any information concerning Caruso’s current location is asked to call the Lake County Sheriff’s Office at 352-343-2101.
