Search continues for man who went overboard on Carnival cruise ship off Florida’s coast

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Investigators have released more information after a man went overboard on a cruise ship Tuesday morning.

Family members have confirmed that 35-year-old Ronnie Peale Jr. fell from the Carnival Magic cruise ship off the coast of Jacksonville.

His partner said she last saw Peale when they went to bed on the ship.

When she woke up, he was gone.

Carnival Cruise Lines said surveillance video shows Peale leaning over his stateroom balcony railing and falling into the water.

The ship is now returning to Virginia.

Channel 9 is working to get an update on the search efforts.
