ORLANDO, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health reported 10,577 new COVID-19 cases Saturday.
Of the new cases, 2,236 were reported in Central Florida.
Since the pandemic began, there have been 1,116,973 cases of the virus reported in Florida.

The state on Saturday also reported 72 additional COVID-19-related deaths, bringing the state’s death toll of residents and nonresidents to 20,049.
Of the most recent COVID-19-related deaths, 20 were reported in Central Florida, including eight in Marion County, four in Brevard County, two in Lake, Seminole and Osceola counties, and one in each in Orange and Polk counties.

Flagler, Volusia and Sumter counties reported no deaths.
