Robber attacks 7-Eleven employees in Kissimmee, authorities say

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Authorities are searching for a man who robbed a 7-Eleven on North Orange Blossom Trail in Kissimmee on Wednesday.

The robber walked into the store shortly before 11 p.m., took a pair of sunglasses from a display, put them on his face and then walked behind the counter. The man pulled out a pipe that he used to taunt the clerk and demanded money, the clerk said.

The robber, who was also wearing a blue hat and a blue cover over his head, began fighting with two employees. The two got in a shoving match and the man struck the employees several times before they were able to remove his hat and face cover. The man fled in an unknown direction.

The employees suffered minor injuries.

The robber is described as a black or dark-skinned Hispanic man, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing roughly 200 pounds. The employees said it's possible that he had no teeth and spoke with a Cajun accent.

The robber didn’t get away with any money.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Osceola County Sheriff's Office at 407-348-2222 or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
