ST. CLOUD, Fla. — Update: The body of the missing boater in St. Cloud has been recovered, city officials announced Sunday afternoon.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission recovered the body around 10 a.m. Sunday. The man was later identified as Shawn Rand of Port St. Lucie. He was located on Lake Toho.

FWC officials said Rand had fallen from a pontoon boat and not resurfaced.

The boat ramp at Lakefront Park has since reopened, city officials said.

The boat ramp at Lakefront Park in St. Cloud will be closed Sunday while rescue crews search for a boater who went missing.

According to the St. Cloud Fire Department, the boater reportedly jumped off the boat into the lake and never resurfaced.

Crews from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, Osceola County Fire Rescue and St. Cloud Police Department all responded to the scene to assist.

The search was called off Saturday evening with no sign of the missing boater.

According to the fire department, the boat ramp will remain closed Sunday while the search continues.
