ORLANDO, Fla. — Central Florida will see an active weather day on Wednesday.

Our area will see high rain and storm chances and falling temperatures as a strong cold front moves through our area.
A few light showers will be possible in the morning, but the better chance for rain and storms will be in the late morning through mid-afternoon.
Some storms could be strong northwest of Orlando, with the greatest threat being lightning and gusty winds.

Highs today will be in the upper 70s.
The cold front will swing through our area later Wednesday, with clearing skies late and temps falling quickly into the 50s this evening.
Overnight lows will tumble into the mid-40s, with 30s likely northwest.
A cool day is ahead for Thursday, despite plenty of sunshine.

Highs on Thursday will only climb into the mid-60s with strong northerly winds.
The cool spell will be short-lived as warmer weather quickly returns for Friday.
Highs to close out the work week will be in the low 70s.

The mid and upper 70s return this weekend, along with a few more clouds and some coastal rain showers.
