ORLANDO, Fla. — In May, the onePULSE Foundation announced nine days of community-wide activities for the Six-Year Pulse Remembrance Week, taking place June 4-12.

Remembrance week is made possible with support from CITY Furniture, Darden Restaurants, Sonny’s BBQ and Walt Disney World Resort.

June 4: Sixth annual 4.9 CommUNITY Rainbow Run presented by OrlandoHealth & Hard Rock International. Begins at 8 a.m. at Wadeview Park. There will also be a virtual run. Click here for more information.
June 4: We See You(th): A Rally for a More Inclusive World begins at 6 p.m. at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 4851 S. Apopka-Vineland Road in Orlando. Click here for more information:
June 5: Straight Mean Real Makeup: Watch eight straight men perform a choreographed routine to a song of their choice in full drag. Things kick off at 6 p.m. on June 5 at Hamburger Mary’s. Click here for more information and tickets.

June 6: We See Gay: An Honest Conversation About How the Church Loves Our LGBTQ+ Neighbors begins at 7 p.m. at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 4851 S. Apopka-Vineland Road in Orlando.
June 6: University of Central Florida Social Justice and Advocacy organization will host a vigil at 7:30 p.m. in front of Millican Hall on the main campus. During the ceremony, the building will be lit in the colors of the LGBTQ+ Pride flag.
June 9: “How to Talk with Children About Pulse Remembrance Week and Why It Matters”: A virtual discussion will take place from noon to 1 p.m. with onePULSE Foundation Founder Barbara Poma and Keith Newhouse, author of “My Tio’s Pulse,” the award-winning children’s book inspired by the Pulse tragedy. June 9: Orlando Sings Symphonic Chorus will present a concert of Maurice Duruflé's “Requiem” and Andrea Clearfield’s “Tse Go La” in collaboration with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra. The concert will be dedicated to the 49 lives lost. Click here for more information.

June 10-12: The Orange County Regional History Center will host the Pulse Memorial crosses in honor of the 49 lives lost from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission to the museum is free during that time.
June 10: The second annual United We Dance takes place from 6 p.m. to midnight on East Washington Street in the Thornton Park District. It will be a night of music and dancing to honor the community’s resilience. Tickets are $20 plus tax. Click here for more information.
June 10-11: onePULSE Foundation International Culture of Remembrance Symposium, in collaboration with Cultural Vistas, will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days at the UCF Downtown Campus, 500 W. Livingston St. Click here to register.

June 11: The Dru Project Annual Event will take place at The 808 in Thornton Park. The year’s scholarship award recipients and fundraiser will take place during a drag brunch at noon.
June 11: The Zebra Coalition Pride Prom will take place 6-10 p.m. at the Orlando Museum of Art. The event is for people ages 14-20. Click here for more information.
June 12: 49 Bells at First UMC Orlando will begin ringing at noon at First United Methodist Church of Orlando, 142 E. Jackson St. Attendees are encouraged to arrive at 11:45 a.m.
June 12: The six-year Pulse remembrance ceremony take place from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on June 12 at the Pulse Interim Memorial, 1912 S. Orange Ave. The ceremony can also be viewed live on the onePULSE Foundation Facebook page.
In addition, One Orlando Alliance, City of Orlando, Orange County Government and the onePULSE Foundation will be partnering for Acts of Love & Kindness 49s leading up to June 12.
onePULSE Foundation was established following the June 12, 2016 Pulse nightclub shooting that left 49 people dead.
