Publix COVID-19 vaccination appointments fully booked: Here’s when more will open up

Publix COVID-19 vaccine appointments are fully booked after the grocer reopened its COVID-19 vaccination appointment portal Wednesday morning.

Appointments were available at every Publix pharmacy in the state.

The appointments fully booked within two hours of opening up.

The following people are eligible to receive the vaccine at Publix:

  • People aged 65 and older
  • Health care personnel with direct patient contact
  • Residents or staff members of long-term care facilities
  • People deemed “extremely vulnerable” by a physician
  • A sworn law enforcement officer aged 50 and older
  • A K–12 school personnel member aged 50 and older

Residents have to provide proof of residency to receive the vaccine.

Publix is not allowing residents to make an appointment by phone — they must make an appointment online.

The grocer will reopen appointments again at 7 a.m. on Friday.
