ORLANDO, Fla. — Publix opened its COVID-19 vaccination appointment portal Wednesday morning, and all appointments were booked within two hours.
Florida residents who are over 65, residents and staff members of long-term care facilities or health care workers were eligible to make a vaccination appointment at 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Several Publix stores across Florida offered the vaccine, including stores in Brevard, Flagler, Marion and Volusia counties.

The stores will give out 100 to 125 vaccines per day, and an appointment is required.

Residents have to provide proof of residency to receive the vaccine.

Publix is not allowing residents to make an appointment by phone; they must make an appointment online.
If you didn’t get an appointment Wednesday, Publix said it will reopen its vaccination registration at 7 a.m. Friday.
