Popular Orlando ice cream shop going cashless after string of break-ins

ORLANDO, Fla. — A sweet Orlando staple is no longer accepting cash after a string of break-ins.

A recent video shows a man smashing the glass door and breaking into the Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream in Horizon West.

The video shows the man run straight to the back office for the safe.

This is the fourth time one of the ice cream shops has been hit.

Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream said it is no longer accepting cash payments in an effort to deter of thieves and protect staff members.
