DAYTONA BEACH SHORES, Fla. — A woman’s death is under investigation Friday morning in Daytona Beach Shores, police said.
The woman, who police identified Saturday as Olympia Cerruti, was found dead at 5:23 a.m. inside a room at the Hawaiian Inn at 2301 South Atlantic Ave., police said.
Witnesses said they heard a man running through the hallway screaming for help, police said.
The 34-year-old Cerutti was suffering from a traumatic injury and was in full cardiac arrest, police said.
Police examined her rental truck in the parking lot, but did not say what, if anything, they found.
Police told Channel 9's Mike Springer they do not think anyone else's safety is at risk. However police would not say why they believe that.
