She told police she was at the Waffle House when a man walked up and began to attack her with a machete. The victim said she then jumped over the counter and ran out of the back to a motel on Highway A1A where she called police.

The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for traumatic injuries. She told police she didn’t know the man who attacked her.

Police reviewed video from security cameras in the restaurant that showed the suspect and victim sitting together in a booth and talking before the attack.

The video goes on to show the suspect talking to other people in the restaurant before walking back over to the victim, pulling the machete out of his pants and slashing at the victim multiple times.
