Police searching for pair believed to be involved in Daytona Beach fatal hit-and-run

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Police are searching for two people believed to have been involved in a hit-and-run crash along Nova Road on Wednesday evening.

Officers said they were called to the area of South Nova Road and Bellview Avenue just before 11 p.m.

Investigators said that when officers arrived on the scene, they found 24-year-old Q’ueshawn Emmanuel Jones lying by the side of the road.

Daytona police believe that Jones had been crossing Bellevue Avenue when he was hit by a passing car.

Investigators said they are searching for a dark-colored, four-door BMW with a shattered windshield and heavy damage to the front of the car.

On Thursday, officers released surveillance photos of a man and woman whom they want to interview about the crash.
