Police investigating fatal hit-and-run crash in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. — Police are searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash Monday evening in Orlando.

According to police, a man was crossing Kirkman Road near Vineland Road just after 11:30 p.m. when he was hit by a car.

Investigators said the car drove away after hitting the man.

The man, who has not been identified, died at the scene.

Police found an abandoned car a mile from the crash, which resembled the suspect’s vehicle.

Northbound Kirkman Road between Vineland Road and Windhover Road was closed for several hours while investigators processed the scene.
