Police find burned-out SUV believed to be involved in fatal Seminole County hit-and-run

CASSELBERRY, Fla. — The Casselberry Police Department said it found an SUV that investigators believe hit and killed a man who was walking his dog on Wednesday night.

Troopers said the crash happened around 8:15 p.m. on Eagle Circle and Shadow Drive in Casselberry.

Investigators said a 63-year-old man was crossing the street with his dog when a silver Audi SUV struck and killed him.

The dog was not harmed in the crash.

The driver did not stop.

Officers said they found the SUV about a mile from the crash scene.

Troopers told Channel 9′s Jeff Levkulich that the SUV was on fire when it was found.

Investigators are now talking to the owner of that car. They are trying to figure out who was behind the wheel at the time of the crash.
