Police: Deltona man dies after head-on crash in Orange City

A young child was killed and his older sister was injured in a shooting in Buffalo, New York Friday night.

ORANGE CITY, Fla. — Police said a Volusia County man died following a traffic crash Monday morning in Orange City.

It happened just before 11:30 a.m. along Graves Avenue near the Interstate-4 overpass, according to the Orange City Police Department.

Police said the crash involved two vehicles, including a 2017 Nissan SUV and a 2002 BMW sedan.

Investigators believe the SUV’s driver was traveling westbound on Graves Avenue when he crossed into the eastbound lane and collided head-on with the BMW.

Both vehicles suffered heavy front-end damage, police said.

The SUV’s driver, 17, of Deltona, received medical treatment at the crash site.

Police said the driver of the BMW, 48-year-old Ancel Robinson of Deltona, later died at hospital in Deltona.

No charges have been filed to date and the crash investigation is ongoing, according to police.
