“The loose pieces were removed and the remaining support brackets of the scaffolding are secure,” Orlando police Lt. Teresa Ruhl said. “(The Florida Department of Transportation) and SGL Construction were at the site. It was determined the roadway was safe to reopen.”

The Orlando Police Department told Channel 9 SR 408 reopened in all directions at Interstate 4 after closing Thursday afternoon because of windy directions and loose scaffolding.
We’re asking if the road could be closed again as the storm system moves closer.
The Orlando Police Department said it has shut down State Road 408 in both directions at Interstate 4 due to windy conditions and loose scaffolding on one of the overpasses that is under construction.
Traffic is being routed onto Interstate 4, police said.
