Planes crashed, flipped upside down after strong storms strike Merritt Island Airport

MERRITT ISLAND, Fla. — Several planes were damaged after strong storms struck the Merritt Island Airport.

Strong winds from severe storms caused planes to flip over and crash at the airport.

TIMELINE: Thunderstorms trigger tornado warnings in Volusia, Seminole and Brevard counties Thursday

Officials said three planes in total were flipped over.

It is unclear if anyone was hurt by the storm damage.
