SANFORD, Fla. — One person was killed Friday night after they were hit by a SunRail train near a service station in Sanford, Seminole County Fire Rescue said.
The incident was reported at about 8:30 p.m. in the area of SunRail Drive, officials said.
The northbound train was stopped on the tracks as emergency personnel responded to the scene and the route was shut down as the incident was investigated.
Deputies are treating the death as a possible suicide.
No other information on the pedestrian death was immediately released.
