Pedestrian dies after being struck by vehicle in Winter Park, FHP says

WINTER PARK, Fla. — A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday evening in Winter Park, Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened at North Semoran Boulevard and Aloma Avenue.

The pedestrian was transported to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

The vehicle, a Kia Optima, was heading north on Semoran Boulevard approaching Aloma Avenue when the pedestrian was stopped in the raised median area, then walked into the Kia’s path, FHP said.

The pedestrian was not carrying any identification, so his identity is not immediately known.
