PALM COAST, Fla. — The City of Palm Coast will adjust rates for water, wastewater, stormwater, and solid waste services starting Oct. 1.
All four services are billed together on monthly utility accounts. According to city officials, the rate adjustments support the continued operation, maintenance, and long-term planning of local infrastructure.
The rate changes are part of existing plans rather than new increases. The adjustments are guided by the city’s approved utility rate ordinance, its Utility Strategic Plan, a 2023 Stormwater Rate Study, and an agreement with FCC Environmental Services Inc.
Water and wastewater rates will increase by 5.1% on Oct. 1. The annual adjustment is calculated using the U.S. Consumer Price Index Water and Sewerage Maintenance Services Index under the city’s approved utility rate ordinance.
Stormwater fees will adjust from $36.16 to $38.33 per Equivalent Residential Unit, marking a monthly increase of $2.17. The change follows a five-year fee schedule established through the 2023 stormwater study.
The monthly rate for residential solid waste service will be set at $34.37. The rate is governed by Palm Coast’s agreement with FCC Environmental Services Inc.
Utility customers will receive a notice in their Oct. 1 bill containing the complete schedule of updated rates.
