KISSIMMEE, Fla. — A man was arrested after he was involved in a hit-and-run crash, stole two cars and then made his way to a helicopter, the Kissimmee Police Department said.
At around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to a hit-and-run crash on Oak Street and Forrest Avenue.

Officers said the suspect, Brandon Marti, 31, was involved in the crash. They said after the crash Marti broke into an occupied home off Forrest Avenue, took car keys and stole a car from the driveway.
Police said Marti drove the stolen car through a gate at the Kissimmee Gateway Airport where the vehicle become inoperable.

They said Marti then made his way to a helicopter on the property, where he was confronted by security.
Marti then stole another truck and crashed it in another part of Osceola County, where he was arrested by deputies, police said.

Marti remains in the hospital, where he’s being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
