OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies said a 15-year-old student is in custody after another student said that student showed him a gun in a school locker room.
Deputies said the student told a school resource officer about the gun, which he described as having an extended clip, which then prompted a lockdown on campus around 8:15 a.m. Tuesday.
Investigators said the searched the school for the 15-year-old and determined the student was no longer on campus.

Deputies said around 10:15 a.m., they found the student in a subdivision off campus with the weapon.
Deputies said they are interviewing the student and witnesses to determine if any other students were involved.
Charges are pending against the 15-year-old and the lockdown has been lifted, deputies said.
Osceola Schools put out a statement on Twitter saying that all students and staff are safe.
