Day of love: Osceola County courthouse offers Valentine’s Day themed-weddings

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Love is in the air at a Central Florida courthouse.

Couples can get married with a Valentine’s Day themed-wedding at the Osceola County Historic Courthouse.

The Osceola Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller Kevin Soto’s team will host a group ceremony and reception.

Registration will be open until Feb. 10 or until each ceremony reaches capacity.

The courthouse encourages couples to sign up for a marriage license appointment as soon as possible so they can participate. The office will offer two ceremonies, one at 10 a.m. in English and another at 2 p.m. in Spanish.

For $50, there will also be a reception compete with cupcakes, beverages and music.

Couples will receive a decorative certificate and a printed photo.

“What better time to celebrate love than Valentine’s Day,” Soto said. “We will provide a memorable setting for our couples to get married.”

The courthouse is the oldest Florida courthouse still used today.
