OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Prosecutors and the attorney for the accused mastermind behind a botched murder-for-hire plot were back in court in Osceola County on Thursday morning.

Investigators said Ishnar Lopez-Ramos hired two people to kill a romantic rival in 2018, but they killed the wrong woman, Janice Torres.
On Thursday, Lopez-Ramos’ attorney said evaluations of her competency to stand trial are still ongoing.

Her next hearing is scheduled for February.
One of the suspects in the case, Alexis Ramos-Rivera, was convicted of murder last year.
