OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said a 12-year-old child called 911 after her mother was stabbed by her stepfather.

On Jan. 5, around 2:58 a.m., deputies said they responded to a home on Bogey Drive in Davenport for a report of a stabbing.
A 12-year-old girl called 911 and told dispatchers that her stepfather was armed with a knife, and her mother, Enese Pierre, was stabbed and bleeding.

According to a police report, after deputies entered the house, they found Makinson Devalcin, wearing a tank top and yellow shorts, face down on the ground at the entrance of a bedroom, with a shallow stab wound to his neck.
Deputies said Devalcin was unconscious but still showed signs of life, and they rendered aid.
The report said that deputies then entered the bedroom and found a woman lying on the bed covered in blood.

Investigators found Officials said there was a knife lying on the ground beside the left side of the bed covered in blood and said the woman appeared to have a fatal stabbing wound to her neck.
According to the police report, the 12-year-old called 911 after hearing her mother yell “Help! He is trying to kill me.”
The report also states the girl, after walking into the bedroom and seeing her mother injured and covered in blood told deputies that she saw Devalcin “get up from the bed and grab a knife and say, ‘no one messes with me.’”

The girl did not see any injuries on Devalcin at this time, according to the report.
Deputies said that based on evidence at the scene and interviews with the girl and a roommate, an arrest warrant for the first-degree murder was issued.
After being taken for treatment at the hospital Davalcin was arrested and arrest warrant for first-degree murder
