Sheriff: Man dies after argument with neighbor escalates into shooting in Poinciana

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — A man died Tuesday morning after an argument with a neighbor escalated into a shooting, Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez told Channel 9.

He said neighbors called 911 at about 10:30 a.m. to report a shooting between the men on Birmingham Drive in the Poinciana area.

Lopez said it is unknown why the men were arguing, and he described the shooting as an “isolated incident.”

He said one man was taken to a hospital, where he died.

The other man, who was uninjured, was detained and taken to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office to be interviewed.

Lopez said several rounds were fired from one gun, which was discovered at the scene.
