Baldwin Park school placed on lockout after gunfire heard in nearby parking lot

ORLANDO, Fla — An elementary school had to be placed on lockout while Orlando police investigated reports of shots being fired Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, someone reported hearing gunshots in the area of Chatfield Place and Lake Baldwin Lane just after 1:30 p.m.

Nearby Baldwin Park Elementary was placed on lockout while police investigated.

Police believe an argument between several people in a nearby parking lot may be connected.

There were no injuries reported.

A spokesperson with Orange County Public schools confirmed that the lockout has since been lifted and dismissal continued as normal.
